- What is TSYS WebPASSSM? WebPASS is a Web-based payment acceptance application used to securely process credit card transactions. It is accessed through supported internet Web browsers, bringing all the functionality of a traditional point-of-sale terminal to your personal computer.
- How does it work? Card holder data is collected and submitted for processing using a computer.
- What equipment do I need to process with WebPASS? You will need a computer that meets the minimal requirements and a high-speed Internet connection. Because WebPASS is 100% Web-based, you can access the application and process transactions from any Windows® PC, at any time.

- What credit cards are accepted? All major credit cards are accepted, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner's Club, and JCB.
- Are debit cards accepted? Signature debit is accepted; however, PIN Debit is not supported.
- What other transaction types are supported? WebPASS also supports recurring payments, voids and returns.
- Does WebPASS support "card swipe" transaction? WebPASS was developed to support “card not present” transactions. If you run a large number of “card present” or card swipe transactions, check out TSYS CounterPASSSM.
- What fraud features does WebPASS provide? WebPASS offers Address Verification System (AVS), Cardholder Identification (CID) and (Card Verification Value) CVV2 verification services. It’s important to remember that all cardholder data is stored at a secure host, not on the PC processing the transaction.
- How long does it take to process a transaction? A typical transaction processes in mere seconds when using the recommended high-speed Internet connection.
- Can multiple employees use WebPASS? There is no limit to the number of employees who can be granted permission to process transactions with WebPASS. Each employee will be assigned a unique user ID and password to access the program.
- Can I process batch files from WebPASS? Yes, WebPASS does allow for batch files upload.
- Do I need to batch out every night? No, WebPASS automatically sends batches out every day from the secure host server.
- Who can I contact if I have problems with my WebPASS application and hardware? Your WebPASS support team is available to answer questions and resolve issues seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
